Lately, I've been contemplating the meaning of life and the difference between being alone and being with someone. It's clear that one can become strong through their own efforts.
Perhaps I should push myself to grow and challenge myself to reach new heights, rather than always yearning for protection. I think this might be a fundamental question I've had all my life.
As a child, I longed for protection, but the reality was that I was often pushed away by family and close ones. Even the closest people would say, "Only through suffering will you grow." It's not that I've been recently hurt, but I realize I need to acknowledge my own vulnerability. Only I can improve myself, and I shouldn't expect love to be a cure.
